Acceptance

By using Grails you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in secure and let us know if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

Do not use the marketplace to sell counterfeit cards or to harass other collectors. Listings must be accurate and lawful.

Plans and billing

The free plan is free forever and needs no card. Premium is billed monthly or yearly and you can cancel any time.

Your first month of Premium is free. A payment method is taken when you start it, nothing is charged during that month, and at the end of it Premium renews at the ordinary price unless you cancel first. Cancelling before the free month ends costs you nothing. The free month is limited to one per account, and an account that has previously subscribed is billed from the start of the new subscription.

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews at the same price at the end of each period unless it is cancelled before that period ends. Cancelling stops the next renewal — the period already paid for runs to its end.

On iPhone and iPad the subscription is sold through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase, renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends, and auto-renew can be turned off at any time in your Apple ID settings. Everywhere else the card on file is charged by us and the subscription is cancelled in Settings. A subscription bought on one device works on every device signed in to the same account, and Restore Purchases in Settings brings it back after a reinstall.

Buying and selling with Buy now

When you buy a card with Buy now, you’re buying from the seller — Grails is the middleman who holds the money and referees the rules below. When you pay, your payment (card price, tracked postage, and a payment-protection fee charged at cost) is held by Grails. The seller is only paid after the card is delivered.

If you’re the seller

• You must complete identity and bank verification (run by Stripe, our payment partner) before Buy now switches on. Sellers must be 18 or over.
• Post within 3 business days of a sale, tracked, to the address on the order. Miss the deadline and the buyer can take their money back.
• Your listing’s photos and description are the deal. If the card isn’t what the listing said, the buyer gets a full refund and the return postage is yours.
• You can cancel before posting; the buyer is refunded in full. Repeated cancels show on your record.
• New sellers start with limits that lift with completed sales. Asking a buyer to pay outside the app, or to confirm delivery before it arrives, can end your selling on Grails.

If you’re the buyer

• You can cancel for free any time before the card is posted.
• When tracking shows delivered, check the card. Confirm it, or say something’s wrong, within 3 days — after that the seller is paid automatically. Confirming releases the money; that’s what the button does.
• There are no change-of-mind returns. The promise is “as described, or your money back”.
• If a grading company later confirms a card is counterfeit or its holder tampered with, you have 30 days from delivery to claim — even after the seller was paid.

When something goes wrong

• Reporting a problem freezes the money and every deadline. The seller has 3 days to sort it with you; after that Grails decides, within 2 business days, on the evidence — photos, the listing, and tracking.
• Refunds are always the full amount you paid, protection fee included.
• Grails can pause Buy now platform-wide, and can reverse a payout and suspend a seller when a claim is proven. Decisions on disputes are made in good faith and are final within Grails; nothing here removes rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Buy now is available for Australian delivery addresses, priced in Australian dollars. Fees: Grails takes no commission from sellers; buyers pay the payment-protection fee shown at checkout, which covers payment processing at cost.
